Basically shut off the lights for an hour in the evening on March 28th. I'm pretty sure it's 8:30 pm (20:30 hrs) local time, but if anyone can verify that, thanks.
Any thoughts on this "raising" awareness about global warming stint?

Nothing wrong with shutting off the lights for an hour, just in case. I know I will be, even though I'm not a very strong believer of Global Warming.

I think the "global warming" thing people talk about is just plain BS. However, I do believe it's a good thing that everyone decided to turn off their lights to save energy. Plus, you'll save a lot money on your electricity bill. This is the moment where people live in total darkness. But it doesn't scare 'em. In fact, it brings them together, because they know that they're doing their part to help out the Earth.

I do believe in global warming...
Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and the oceans since the mid-twentieth century and its projected continuation. Global surface temperature increased 0.74 ± 0.18 °C (1.33 ± 0.32 °F) during the 100 years ending in 2005.[1][A] The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concludes that anthropogenic greenhouse gases are responsible for most of the observed temperature increase since the middle of the twentieth century,[1] and that natural phenomena such as solar variation and volcanoes probably had a small warming effect from pre-industrial times to 1950 and a small cooling effect afterward.[2][3] These basic conclusions have been endorsed by more than 40 scientific societies and academies of science,[B] including all of the national academies of science of the major industrialized countries.[4][5]

lol...smart idea right?...shut it all down fer an hour...then BOOM....turn it back on all at the same time!!! lmfao some damn where we messed up the natural-selection process and this is the end results.....too many smart-idiots trying to tell the rest of us what to do........how 'bout 'Earth-Year'? then when they put the switch back on....we'll see who really still has the 'natural-selection' instinct left in them/€ LMFAOROTF damn that would be a fun experiment..........
